National Women's History Project. Nonprofit organization with the mission to recognize and celebrate the diverse and historic accomplishments of women by providing information and educational materials and programs.

National Women's Studies Association.  National Women's Studies Assn. and Ms. Magazine website dedicated to the study of women's issues, includes Conference information and job opportunities.

Women's Review of Books. Published by the Wellesley Centers for Women at Wellesley College.

Women's Studies: A Guide to the Collections in the New York Public Library. A guide to one of the most important resoruce collections of Women's Studies in the country.

Browsing our collection

Instead of, or in addition to, searching the catalog, you could also go up to the stacks  and take a look at the books for yourself. Since the books are arranged by subject, any good book you find is likely to have more near it. 

Call Numbers

Most books specifically on feminism, gender or women's studies are in the HQ range, which you can find on Level 4.  However, many other parts of the library's collection cover the relation of women or gender to certain topics.  For example, here are some call numbers you may find useful:
