The key objective of this manual (and the accompanying workshop series/ annotated extracts) is to allow you to explore and better understand structural variation within and between different thesis formats. It specifically focuses on the relationship between language, rhetorical function, and structure within a thesis. In other words, it advises you on what can be included in your thesis and its chapters, and the type of language that can be used to achieve your objectives.
