Instructor Bios

Mr Owen Connor

Owen Connor holds a Master’s degree (Distinction) in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Sunderland, a Postgraduate Certificate (Distinction) in Teaching English for Academic Purposes (TEAP) from the University of Leicester, and a Postgraduate Certificate (Distinction) in Academic Writing Development from Coventry University.  He has worked in the education sector for over 25 years in London, Istanbul, and Doha, and his primary research interests are in the fields of second language acquisition and academic writing.

Dr Julia Hudson

Dr Julia Hudson is a researcher, teacher and interpreter with a doctorate in history from the University of Oxford. Her research interests involve ancient history, philosophy, theology and their expression in Latin rhetoric; she has presented at British and international conferences and published articles in her field. She teaches history, philosophy, Latin and English.

Dr Juliet Lovering

Dr Juliet Lovering has an MLitt in Creative Writing (Distinction) from the University of Aberdeen and Phd in English Literature from the University of Stirling. She has presented papers at national and international conferences and has published academic articles, popular criticism and prize-winning fiction.
